New Man Van announced to support men in Wales

Almost 3,000 men are diagnosed with prostate or testicular cancer every year in Wales.

We’re excited to announce that men’s health charity, Movember , will be supporting our next step in mobile cancer support! Movember will be funding £600,000 which will see us create the country’s first ‘Man Van’ which will travel across Wales to support men living with, and affected by, prostate and testicular cancer.

The 38 foot van will be operated by us along with Prostate Cancer UK and will visit every local authority area in Wales, covering all seven local health boards. We’ll be able to offer counselling, welfare rights advice and health checks and deliver care and support to those men who live in deprived or hard-to-reach areas.

As Wales’ largest cancer charity, we have years of experience in delivering cancer care at the heart of communities and supporting cancer patients and their families, whenever and wherever they need it most. Our new Man Van will mark the beginning of a new era of cancer care.

We’re delighted to have received funding from Movember/Prostate Cancer UK to fund our new ‘Man Van’ which will travel throughout Wales supporting men affected by cancer. If you would like to support us there are loads of ways you can get involved or just call us on 029 2076 8850 to find out how you can join us for one of our fun events or even organise your own!
