Our ManVan launches in Merthyr!
On Tuesday 25th March, we officially launched our ManVan!
We were joined by invited guests, members of the public and representatives from
Prostate Cancer UK and The Movember Foundation at Cyfartha Castle in Merthyr to officially launch our partnership and get the ManVan on the road. You can see all the photos from the launch here.
The ManVan will travel to Welsh communities across the country to support men living with, and affected by, prostate and testicular cancer and will be coming to a community near you from April 1st.
So, what is a ManVan?
We're glad you asked. We've created a new section of our website dedicated to the ManVan to tell you all about our new partnership, what the ManVan is, why it is needed, what it will be doing and where it will be going.
You'll find everything you need to know here.
The ManVan will bring one to one counselling, couples’ counselling, group support and welfare rights advice to men who live in deprived or hard-to-reach areas.
If you have a suggestion for somewhere you want our ManVan to visit, click
Our ManVan will offer 80 counselling and 80 welfare advice sessions every month. It will be travelling to rural areas and deprived areas, visiting a new community every day, bringing these vital services to where they're needed most.
We know men aren’t always comfortable talking about their worries, so we’ve designed a space specifically with them in mind, come and take a tour around it with Richard Pugh by watching our video below:
