Paralympic champion announced as new Patron
Tenovus Cancer Care is delighted to announce the appointment of Paralympic, World and European champion Aled Davies MBE as its brand new Patron.
Aled, who won a gold medal in the shot put at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, will not only help the charity to raise funds but also will help them to raise a greater awareness of the work they do every day to help cancer patients and their loved ones.
The Welsh athlete said: “I'm truly humbled and honoured to be a Patron for Tenovus Cancer Care. I've been a supporter of the charity for numerous years. I've witnessed the incredible work they've been doing and have met the amazing team of people behind it. The support they provide is invaluable and I hope I can continue playing my part to support all the good work that's being done.”
Clare Gallie, Director of Income Generation said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that Aled has agreed to become a Patron for us - he is such a talented and dedicated athlete and we can’t wait for him to get involved. Welcome to Team Tenovus Cancer Care Aled!”
