With a cancer incidence that is amongst the highest in the world and a health system that is under huge financial pressure, it is vital that we develop new and innovative ways to help support an ever growing number of people throughout their cancer journey.
Tenovus Cancer Care is doing this by funding iGrants that:
- work with communities to develop programmes that promote healthy living, early detection and screening
- learn from the experiences and opinions of people who have been affected by cancer to develop new ways to care and support for others who have been affected by the disease
- give health professionals working in the field the opportunity to develop new ways to treat and support cancer patients and families before, during and after their treatment
iGrants are open to all, where the lead applicant is based in Wales. We welcome applications for projects of all sizes up to a maximum of £30,000 for up to 24 months. We look for projects that demonstrate an impact on cancer patients and their families, or have the potential to do so in the future. Projects must have a research element; there must be a research question or uncertainty being investigated. Our iGrants are selected with the support of our Research Advisory Group (RAG).
