We are very excited about our employee volunteering programme! This is a new initiative for us and we have been working hard to develop a range of employee volunteering days that we can offer local businesses.
These are like team building days, giving your business and staff the opportunity to give something back as well as have a lot of fun in the process! Wherever possible we try to combine these days with a visit to one of our services, or the opportunity to speak to one of our staff members about the services we run. This really helps people understand what all their hard work goes towards, and is a great way for us to say thank you for your support.
Examples of some employee volunteering days we have run so far are:
- An ‘Apprentice style’ shop challenge day
- Painting and decorating days
- Furniture upcycling
- Warehouse days
- Office fundraising days
We are also able to offer more regular on-going volunteering on our Support Line or in our warehouse.
We are very flexible, so if you are interested in finding out more about an employee volunteering project with us then just drop us a line at email@example.com
Feedback from some of the groups we’ve worked with so far:
“My volunteer day with Tenovus really showed me how important it is to support the charity – I was able to see how much fantastic work was being done by the Tenovus Cancer Care team who are committed to making lives better for those who have been affected by cancer.”
“It really was eye opening to see how fundamental all donations are to the charity, and how a bag of old clothes can be turned into a top of the range facility equipped to offer treatment, support and counselling for cancer sufferers and their loved ones.”
“The staff were very friendly and we worked well as team and the whole experience was enjoyable.”
“A great way to spend a day. Good fun and helping others at the same time.”
“This was a really great use of our GSK orange day, the Tenovus Cancer Care staff at the Cardiff branches were really welcoming and made the Apprentice Challenge experience fun and enjoyable. I feel like my eyes have been opened to the great work that Tenovus does in Wales to support treatment closer to home for patients.”
