HRH The Princess Royal visits our charity ball
We were honoured to have a visit from HRH The Princess Royal to our Viva Las Vegas charity ball in March where our guests helped us to raise a fantastic total of £37,000!
Over 300 guests descended on Cardiff’s City Hall to help us raise money to support cancer patients and their loved ones across Wales and England.
We received a visit on the night from our Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, who met with guests at the reception. She talked about the enormous impact our work has on cancer patients and how proud she is to be our Royal Patron.
Hosted by Welsh weathergirl, travel blogger and our patron, Sian Lloyd, the event was a glamorous affair from start to finish. It was attended by lots of super supporters, including patrons ITV Wales presenter Carl Edwards and Paralympic champion, Aled Davies OBE.
There was entertainment from The Flaming Feathers, Bryan Gunton and The Edge band to get everyone into the glitzy spirit of Vegas.
Our Kilimanjaro trekkers donning posh frocks and suits... And of course their walking boots!
Claudia McVie, our Chief Executive, was delighted at HRH The Princess Royal attending and how much was raised. “It was a fantastic evening made even more special by a visit from our Patron, Princess Anne. She’s supported us for many years and we’re so grateful for her continuing to take an interest in what we do as a charity. To top it off, we raised an incredible amount of money which will go towards helping cancer patients and their loved ones across Wales and England. I want to thank everyone who came along and helped us raise the £37,000.”
