New Research Strategy Grants available from Tenovus Cancer Care
We are delighted to announce our new Research Strategy Grants funding stream.
A Research Strategy Grant is a funded piece of research over two years with up to £60,000 available, aimed at helping to advance the services and activity provision of Tenovus Cancer Care.
We have identified three priority themes and will now be accepting expressions of interests from researchers until Monday 18 June.
Dr Tim Banks, our Head of Research, said: “‘I am very excited by this brand new grants stream which will bridge the gap between research outcomes and service implementation.
“It will ensure the services we provide are backed up by the most up-to-date, comprehensive research so that we are doing the best we can for people affected by cancer in the most timely, efficient and impactful way.”
The priority themes identified by Tenovus Cancer Care are:
Awareness of what Tenovus Cancer Care do: are we fulfilling the aspirations of our supporters?
This is a comprehensive piece of work with people who already have a relationship with the charity such as service users, supporters and health professionals, to investigate their awareness of what we already do, whether it meets their expectations and their expectations for the future.
With much activity happening about destructive behaviours, this research would be a comprehensive review of the strategies, responses and interventions planned to tackle these behaviours.
A comprehensive review of the strategies that are looking at current presentation rates, the impact of presenting earlier and evidence-based interventions, plus any strategies designed to improve this presentation rate.
