Sam Warburton donates British and Irish Lions kit to our Rhiwbina shop
Our amazing Patron Sam Warburton has donated some of his British and Irish Lions kit from the team’s recent New Zealand tour to our Rhiwbina shop to raise money for people affected by cancer.
The British and Irish Lions captain regularly donates kit to his local Tenovus Cancer Care shop to support cancer patients and their loved ones.
Items donated to the shop include training tops and signed shirts, and has so far raised £2,056!
Sam said: “I donate items to the shop because I’ve always thought it’s important to be proactive and support charity. I always hear about the great work of Tenovus Cancer Care and my donating to the shop has been successful so far – I think it raised about £2,000 last year and that goes towards helping people affected by cancer, so it’s a no-brainer.
“For me it’s nice because, rather than just giving the kit away, it goes to people who value it and it raises money for charity at the same time.”
Some of Sam’s kit is also available on our eBay pages.
