Leave a gift in your Will

Why gifts in Wills are important

Gifts in Wills are hugely important to Tenovus Cancer Care and make up a large part of our income. They help us fund around a million pounds of life-saving and life-changing cancer research every year. Whatever your gift, even 1%, can help fund the cancer research of tomorrow, and help us get a little closer to a world without cancer.

Why writing a Will is important

Writing a Will is really important as it gives you peace of mind, and means you can decide what happens after you’re gone.

If you don’t make a Will, the government will decide what happens to your money and assets. This could cause arguments or disputes, and even mean family members miss out. Not having a Will can cause extra stress and expense for your loved ones. By making a Will, you can make an upsetting time, a little easier.

It’s easy to put off making a Will but it’s one of those jobs we should all do. As well as making sure your loved ones are taken care of, many people also decide to leave a gift to charity, so the support for the causes they care about lives on as their legacy.

Make or update your Will for free

Each March we offer anyone who’s 50 or over the chance to make or update their Will for free. Find out more about our free Will writing service.

Our research

Our cancer research is only possible thanks to generous gifts left to us in Wills. Many people choose to remember us in their Will, and
leaving us just 1% can help fund the cancer research of tomorrow.
