Diet and exercise

We know a healthy diet and weight is really important in preventing cancer, so it’s really important that we make sure people understand how to make the right choices.

Foodwise for Life

Foodwise for Life is an 8 week course which teaches you everything you need to know to be more informed in your food decisions, and understand what you eat.

We work in partnership with Change for Life and Nutrition Skills for Life, to help you learn to eat well, understand portion sizes and food labels, and the importance of regular exercise. Each weekly session lasts one hour and takes place in a local community venue.

Our next course will run at Onllwyn Welfare Hall, Neath in January 2020. If you’re interested in attending this course, please email health@tenovuscancercare.org.uk. If we’re not running a course in your area please get in touch and we’ll look at bringing one to your community.

Keeping active is not only great for your physical health, it’s really good for your mental health too. And taking on a charity challenge like a trek, run or cycle is the perfect way to set yourself a goal, have fun, and make a difference. Check out our latest events.
