56 Mile Mission

Join Team Tenovus this Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the 56 Mile Mission Challenge!

56 Miles. 1 Month. 1 Mission.

Walk, run or wheel 56 miles in October and support all those affected by cancer

Why 56? Because every year almost 56,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer... could you take on the 56 Mile Mission?

Do it on your own, or as part of a team, or even challenge your friends and family to join. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an experienced runner, want to get a bit fitter, or just fancy the challenge – all that matters is doing your part for breast cancer awareness.

Who is this challenge for?

You don't need to be an experienced runner to do this challenge. Whether you’re a casual walker, or just starting your fitness journey this challenge allows you to take it at your own pace and build up the miles as you go!

56 miles in the month is the equivalent to 14 miles per week or 2 miles per day. – so you can either take the challenge at your own pace, with small distances each day – or you can challenge yourself and tackle long distances at a time.

You also decided on the best way to clock up the miles, so whether that’s through walking, running, cycling, swimming, jumping, skipping or even crawling you can choose what is right for you!

How to register?

Signing up is easy, and completely free! And, as a thank you for your support- we’ll even send you one of our Team Tenovus t-shirts which you can wear with pride.

All we ask in return is that you raise *at least* £55 in fundraising, to support all those affected by cancer and support us in giving help, hope and a voice to everyone affected by cancer.

£55 could allow our expert cancer nurses to provide support and guidance, to four people going through cancer treatment though our Call Back service.

Why to join the 56 Mile Mission?

By joining the 56 Mile Mission you’ll be helping to raise awareness of Breast Cancer and Tenovus Cancer Care’s vital services. The 56 Mile Mission is also great for your health, with many of our previous participants feeling the health benefits!
