This research project, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), is about helping patients get equal access to prehabilitation, regardless of their ethnicity, social or financial circumstances. The research team would particularly like to hear from those from a variety of backgrounds and ethnic groups. You do not need to have experience of prehabilitation, cancer or research.
Various tasks (depending on your availability):
- Read and provide feedback on study materials. The team will develop participant information sheets and other study materials to let participants know what is expected of them during and after the study. These will be developed with your help, i.e. how we can make the information easier to read
- As the public representative, the team will ask for your views on how best we can get people to take part in our study and what they can do to make it easier for people to take part
- The team will ask for your help to understand the results from the study, and how best to share the results with members of the public
The study will run until April 2027 with a number of opportunities to be involved. You don't need to commit for the whole project or every meeting. Each task or meeting usually takes between 1-3 hours, approximately 3 times a year. You will be paid for your time and if you need to travel, we will pay reasonable travel costs.
The team are looking for a range of people to join the group, so would like to arrange a telephone call with you and one of the I-Prehab Team, to find out a bit more about you and your availability.
