McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend announces Tenovus Cancer Care as Charity of The Year

Following a competitive selection process, we are thrilled to be selected as McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend’s Charity of The Year for 2023. The opportunity will help raise funds and awareness of Tenovus Cancer Care, as the centre plans to support with fundraising activities and promotion throughout the year ahead.

This builds on an existing partnership with the centre, which is the location of one of our weekly Mobile Support Unit clinics.

Richard Garratt, Centre Manager at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend, said:

“We are very excited to announce Tenovus Cancer Care as our 2023 Charity Partner. We have witnessed the incredible support the Tenovus team have offered to nearly 400 patients at their Mobile Support Unit located outside the Centre. We are profoundly impressed with the  excellent cancer care and counselling support the charity provides for our local community and visitors.

During our partnership, we feel we can further support the life-changing work they deliver through fundraising opportunities such as choir singathons at the centre, cancer talks for all Bridgend Designer Outlet Staff and various activities throughout the year. We would highly encourage any of our guests who are able to donate to join us in our shared goal of raising critically needed funds for Tenovus.”

Siôn Edwards, Head of Fundraising at Tenovus Cancer Care, said:

“We are thrilled to be chosen as McArthurGlen’s Charity of the Year for 2023. Living with cancer can be worrying and stressful. We’re here with information, advice, and specialist support for people affected by cancer. This partnership will help us raise awareness and funds for our vital services, including our Mobile Support Unit, free Support Line, Benefits Advice, and Counselling.
