A team in Hywel Dda University Health Board is undertaking a Review of Health and wellbeing information provided at the point of suspicion for cancer. As part of this review, they would like to talk to a group of people who have had a recent experience of the service in Hywel Dda.
The review will focus on information specifically about nutrition, exercise, wellbeing as well as smoking and alcohol at a time when you are being investigated for a suspected cancer and will help us improve what information we provide. They need your input and want you to share your honest and open thoughts with them.
They are holding a patient experience session as part of the review on 29th March 2023 from 10:00 via Microsoft Teams. A gift card with a value of £20 will be provided to all participants as a thank you for your time and contribution.
They would be very grateful for your participation in this session. They would like you to tell them during the session your experiences of any information you received or information that you would have liked to have receive about health and wellbeing while you were being investigated for cancer.
The session will be recorded but identifiable information will not be included in any of the outputs from the discussions.
If you have any queries or questions about the session, please feel free to contact Rachel Lewis, Macmillan Allied Health Professional Lead, Hywel Dda University Health board, (Email: prehabilitation.HDD@wales.nhs.uk).
Many thanks in anticipation of your help.
If you’d like to participate, please email prehabilitation.HDD@wales.nhs.uk and mention that you heard about this through Tenovus Cancer Care's All-Wales Cancer Community.
