make a smile lottery is our weekly lottery draw, a fun and exciting way to support Tenovus Cancer Care while giving you the opportunity to win cash prizes! 

Each week you could be in with a chance of winning one of 142 prizes that are up for grabs! 

1 x £1000, 1 x £250 and 140 x £10, Plus a rollover prize that if not won, goes up by £500 each week to a maximum of £25,000. 

• One entry in the weekly draw is £1. You can purchase multiple entries if you wish.
• You will be allocated a unique lottery number.
• Your number(s) will be entered into the draw each week, you can also purchase additional single tickets to increase your chances.
• The prizes are; 1 x £1000, 1 x £250 and 140 x £10
• The rollover prize of £500 is selected from random numbers and can rollover up to a maximum of £25,000.
• You will be sent a notification should you win, and your winnings will be transferred to your lottery account. You will have to sign up for a lottery account to withdraw your winning funds. If you don’t have an email, a cheque will be posted to the address we have for you, so make sure that we have your updated address.
• You must be 18 or over to join the lottery.

• As we are a lottery, we don’t accept credit cards.

You can set up an online lottery account where you can take control of your lottery membership.

• View previous transactions and tickets.

The draw usually takes place every Friday - Please check the countdown on the website for specific cut off time. If you purchase after this time, you will be entered into the following draw.

Living with cancer can be worrying and stressful. We can help.  We understand what it is to live with cancer and how it affects families and friends too. We’re here with information, advice, practical and emotional support so that you can take back some control of your life and live well with cancer. 

Jean was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2016 after a colonoscopy. Desperate to talk to someone, Jean turned to Tenovus Cancer Care. Already a member of the Barry Sing with Us choir, she’d heard about the Support Line too. 

“I called the Tenovus Cancer Care Support Line after having the results. A nurse called me back straight away.  It was great to be able to talk to somebody who knew exactly what I was thinking and feeling. I’d found it difficult to talk to my family. They are just being brave for you, and you’re trying to be brave for them, and somewhere, between that, no one really discusses how you really feel. I just couldn’t talk to my husband Mick. He’s the most amazing man and husband but he just cannot cope that way – he shuts down and it’s the same with my children.”

Zoe signed up to the Make a Smile Lottery to support Tenovus Cancer Care in 2019. Zoe worked within the NHS in Wrexham Hospital at the time and was aware of Tenovus Cancer Care’s amazing services that support cancer patients right across Wales and beyond.

She thought it was a great way to support the charity but with the added bonus that she might win something herself. In July 2021 Zoe was one of our lucky winners and bagged herself £1,000!

Here’s what Zoe had to say about her big win; “I was so surprised to get the call that I’d won £1,000 in the Make a Smile Lottery! The lottery was an easy way for me to give back and support Tenovus Cancer Care, and I liked that I was in with a chance of winning something back – but I never thought I’d win £1,000!

I recently moved house, so the money has allowed me to splash out on some home warming items.

While working in Wrexham, I was aware of how Tenovus Cancer Care supported cancer patients through their Benefits Advice service and saw the positive impact this had for patients and their families – I’m delighted to be able to support Tenovus Cancer Care.
