Trustees’ Week 2025: Welcoming New Trustees and Thanking Departing Leaders
Tina Gabb

A qualified FCCA accountant, Tina has held senior finance leadership roles across the charity sector, developing risk management and internal audit strategies.
She’s no stranger to Tenovus Cancer Care - having fundraised for us with her running group Peak Performance Wales and taken on challenges including the London Marathon in our name.
Tina said: “I chose to apply to be a trustee at Tenovus as I have been involved from a fundraising perspective for some time now. Unfortunately, I am in the position where I see the good work that Tenovus does as my mother has a stage 4 terminal diagnosis. I wanted to be able be more involved with the charity and work with it to achieve its aims and objectives as they are so vital.”
Her financial acumen and dedication to our cause make her a valuable addition to the Board.
Imogen Stringer

With a strong background in commercial leadership within financial services and the charity sector, Imogen brings expertise in digital, data, and product development.
A passionate campaigner for young people’s cancer support, she shares: "The charity’s commitment to supporting people affected by cancer resonates deeply with me, particularly because of my own personal experience. The difference the charity makes to individuals, their families, their friends, and the wider community is truly inspiring.
“As a trustee, I'm looking forward to contributing to Tenovus Cancer Care’s mission by drawing on the strategic and commercial experience I've gained in my day job and previous roles in financial services, as well as to meeting the incredible volunteers, staff and fellow trustees who make this charity so special!”
Rachel Holborow

Rachel has nearly two decades of experience in fundraising, income generation, and partnership development. She now works with charities across the UK on corporate fundraising strategies.
Rachel says: “Tenovus Cancer Care has always stood out to me for putting people first - through choirs, counselling, support and advice that see beyond the diagnosis. After losing my dad to cancer, joining the board feels deeply personal. I’m proud to help ensure care in Wales remains rooted in humanity and hope.”
Ian Thomas

Ian is an experienced board director and charity trustee with a 35-year international career in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. His connection with Tenovus Cancer Care spans over 40 years.
“My personal connection with Tenovus Cancer Care goes back many years. My family has also been very involved - my mother volunteered, and my sister now does too. I hope to contribute to the charity’s strategic direction and ensure it continues to help people through some of the most difficult times of their lives"
Iain Hardcastle

A senior lead in public health and NHS Wales Performance and Improvement, Iain brings deep knowledge of health inequalities, governance, planning, and finance.
Iain said: “I’m really honoured to be joining Tenovus Cancer Care as a Trustee. My family has previously been affected by cancer and seeing the work that Tenovus Cancer Care do to ensure that everyone in Wales affected by cancer gets the support and care that they need was my inspiration to join this brilliant charity.”
His experience across health, local authorities, and emergency services will be an asset to our board.
