The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is developing guidance on Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies that could help analyse digitised images of prostate tissue samples and potentially speed up the review time and improve accuracy.

NICE would like to hear from people with experience of having tests for prostate cancer and people with prostate cancer about what matters most to patients, including waiting for results, confidence in diagnoses, and views on the use of AI in healthcare.

Black men can have a higher risk of developing prostate cancer, so NICE are particularly looking for a patient expert from the Black community.

NICE will provide training and support to participate in an online committee meeting on 18th November 2026. Your time will be compensated for in line with the policy as a lived experience contributor.

The link to express an interest is here.

If you need an alternative way of expressing an interest, NICE would be very happy to help at PACT@nice.org.uk

The deadline for expressions of interest is Friday 31 July.
