Who can take part? Queer women who have received treatment for breast cancer (aged 18 and living in the UK)
Deadline: 31 October 2025
Location: Online

As a queer woman who has undergone treatment for breast cancer, we are interested in learning about your experiences of body image and intimacy post-treatment. The purpose of this interview will be to explore your thoughts and feelings about your body, including consideration of how treatment may have affected this. We are also interested in how this may have impacted intimate relationships, if at all. This will be used to help shape and influence future support for queer women who have had breast cancer.

To be eligible, you must

  • Identify as a woman (including anyone who wholly or partially identifies with this label)
  • Be aged over 18
  • Be living in the UK
  • Be romantically attracted to or sexually intimate with other women
  • Have finished active treatment for breast cancer (i.e. surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy). However, there are no restrictions on the type, stage, or grade of treatment and the time elapsed since treatment.

Before the scheduled interview, you will be asked to complete an online consent form and a short demographic survey. The interview will take place over Microsoft Teams and is expected to last between 30-60 minutes (although there is no fixed limit) and will be audio-recorded for analysis purposes. Please note there is no payment or incentive for participation.
