Caerleon Running Club Hosts Successful Annual “5 Miler”
Caerleon Running Club was proud to host its annual “5 Miler” race on Wednesday 11 June - a standout event that continues to attract runners from across South Wales and beyond. This year’s race welcomed 350 runners to the iconic Caerleon Amphitheatre, offering participants a unique and picturesque setting for the much-anticipated evening event.
With the sun shining brightly, runners rose to the challenge of the warm conditions and delivered outstanding performances throughout the course. The vibrant atmosphere, enthusiastic supporters, and community spirit all contributed to making the event a memorable occasion for all involved.

This year, Caerleon Running Club proudly partnered with Tenovus Cancer Care as its chosen charity. The decision was a meaningful one, as cancer has, in some way, affected the lives of many – whether personally or through family and friends. The impact of cancer is far-reaching, and the club recognised the vital work Tenovus Cancer Care does in supporting people across Wales.
Thanks to the generosity of participants and supporters, Caerleon Running Club has raised over £600 so far for Tenovus Cancer Care. The charity’s wide range of services offers information, advice, and specialist support to people living with cancer, and their loved ones. The club’s donation will help ensure that these services continue to benefit those in need.

As a Wales-based running club it’s fitting that our members chose to support a Welsh cancer charity.
I think everyone’s life is touched by cancer at some point and we are lucky to have Tenovus Cancer Care doing such incredible work. Also being a fitness-based community group it’s important that we remember those who are struggling with their health and fitness and rely on the incredible work of charity groups like Tenovus Cancer Care for support, treatment, expert advice and hope."
Caerleon Running Club extends heartfelt thanks to all the runners, volunteers, and supporters who made the event such a success. The club looks forward to continuing its efforts in combining sport, community, and charitable giving in the years to come.
