Celebrating a month of pink power!

October was an absolute whirlwind of pink power, community spirit, and phenomenal fundraising efforts.
The dedication and support we received over Breast Cancer Awareness Month was truly inspiring, and every event you organised brings us closer to giving help, hope, and a voice to everyone affected by cancer.

From concerts filling the air with music to dinners celebrating ten years of support, our incredible Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care groups went above and beyond. Here are just some of the events that took place throughout the month:

  • Pembrey & Burry Port Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care hosted a BCAM and 10-year anniversary dinner.
  • Rhiwbina Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care held a BCAM quiz and chips night.
  • Cwmbran Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care treated their community to a BCAM concert.
  • Pontypridd Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care also held a fantastic BCAM concert.
  • Llandeilo & Dinefwr Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care hosted a BCAM dinner and a Ladies Lunch in the Plough and successfully turned the town of Llandeilo pink!
  • Treletert/Letterston Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care held a 'Go Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness' coffee morning at Bar Five, Fishguard.
  • Swansea Sing with Us choir put on a spectacular performance, adorned in their best pink pieces.
  • Our amazing shops across the country also put on spectacularly pink window displays and cake sales.

It wasn't just our dedicated groups leading the charge; businesses and communities across Wales also showed their support:

  • Numerous businesses and cafes held pink coffee mornings.
  • Glam Girls WI hosted a coffee morning in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
  • BNI Beacons went pink for us during their team meetings.
  • We also saw incredible support through bucket collections, where so many of you gave generously.
  • Pontypridd and Church Village looked pretty in pink in October, as they decorated their streets and businesses in support.

To every dedicated organiser, every volunteer, every business that turned pink, and every individual who donated: Thank you. Your enthusiasm and generosity last month were truly phenomenal. This wave of support ensures we can continue to bring our vital services, expert advice, and emotional support to those who need it most.

Diolch o galon!
