Dancing, dining and making a difference

This spring, hundreds of incredible supporters came together across two landmark events - raising over £36,000 for people affected by cancer across Wales and beyond. None of it would have been possible without every single person who joined us.

Strictly Speakeasy, Cardiff - 20 March 2026

Two hundred guests stepped back to the roaring 1920s at the Coal Exchange Hotel in Cardiff. Hosted by actress Clare Hingott, the evening featured performances from Strictly Come Dancing professionals Kai Widdrington and Katya Jones.

A standout moment came when Kai and Katya took to the floor with young dancers Lara and Eddie - a jive that had the whole room on its feet. Our patron Amy Dowden opened the evening with a powerful video message, setting a deeply moving tone for the night.

A generous diamond jewellery donation from Neil Rayment sold for £3,200 - a huge thank you to Neil. An incredible £24,000 was raised on the night.

I go to a lot of Gala Dinners and events, but this is most definitely the best one I’ve been to!”

Tenovus on the Thames, London - 26 February 2026

One hundred and twenty supporters joined us aboard the Silver Sturgeon for an unforgettable afternoon on the River Thames. Compered by Matt Johnson, the afternoon featured a champagne reception, three-course lunch, and panoramic views of London’s iconic landmarks.

Performances from Sophie Evans and Steffan Rhys Hughes of Welsh of the West End moved everyone on board, alongside powerful talks from Dr. Elin Haf Davies and Maxine Hughes.

Remarkably, 84% of guests were either new supporters or hadn’t engaged with us before - a real testament to the reach and warmth of the afternoon.

An incredible £12,000 was raised through ticket sales, raffle, silent auction, and donations.

A superb event… I do hope it remains in your events calendar for many years to come.”

The generosity, warmth, and support shown at both events directly helps people affected by cancer across Wales - and we are so grateful to everyone who was part of it.
