HRH The Princess Royal to attend The Welsh Variety Extravaganza to mark Tenovus Cancer Care’s 80th anniversary

As Royal Patron of Tenovus Cancer Care, HRH The Princess Royal, will visit Cardiff to attend the event at St David’s Hall on Friday, 3 March.

The concert is in celebration of the charity’s 80th anniversary and promises an incredible evening of Welsh talent.

Performances include singer/songwriters Amy Wadge and Dafydd Iwan, Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden, comedian Rod Woodward, musical theatre singer Sophie Evans, star of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Victoria Scone, and male voice choir Only Men Aloud.

Acts will be supported by an in-house band, along with professional dancers and a special performance by Tenovus Cancer Care’s very own Sing with Us choir.

Proceeds from the evening will go towards Tenovus Cancer Care, supporting people affected by cancer in Wales.

Judi Rhys MBE, Chief Executive of Tenovus Cancer Care, said:

We’re delighted to share the news that our valued patron, HRH The Princess Royal, will attend our special event marking our 80th year of supporting people in the community.

“We are honoured this will be the eighth event of ours that HRH The Princess Royal has attended and we are extremely grateful for the continued support we’ve received over the years.”
