Life Sciences Hub Wales are looking for three patient representatives to attend an online event called, "Cancer Innovation in Wales. The importance of patients and public involvement" on 10 September 1 - 3pm.
If you have experience of being a cancer patient representative (either for a research project or for one of the many opportunities shared with the All-Wales Cancer Community) you can take part.
If you feel comfortable talking, you may be interested in delivering a 10 minute talk about your experiences, or if you don’t want to talk, but are happy to attend and maybe share your views in a less formal way in a breakout session, then please email Charlie Vickers Charlie.Vickers@acmedsci.ac.uk with the email title “All-Wales Cancer Community”.
Anyone who takes part in the opportunity will be paid £25 per hour of their time to attend the conference, plus preparation time if you are giving a talk.
This is a great opportunity to share your views about what it's like to be a patient representative, and what has worked well or not so well in the past.
More information about the event can be found here.
