NIHR Patient Engagement in Clinical Development Service:

Are you interested in helping to improve health and care research? Then this is your opportunity to help shape the design of a clinical trial for Kidney Cancer!

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) is offering an opportunity for individuals with lived or caring experience of Kidney cancer to help improve a commercial clinical trial. They are collaborating with a company to get your crucial feedback on their draft patient-facing study documents.

Your involvement will ensure the information is clear, accessible, and truly reflective of the needs of patients, their families, and communities. Your insights will directly help design a more patient-focused study.

Who are they looking for?

This opportunity is for 4-8 adults (aged 18 or over), living in the UK, who:

1. Have lived experience as a patient of, or carer for someone with Kidney Cancer.

2. Can access and use a word processing programme such as Microsoft Word.

What do I have to do?

Read draft patient-facing study documents and share your thoughts on how clearly the information is presented via a feedback form.

How long will it take?

Up to 4-5 hours to read the documents and complete the feedback form(s). You will be given 10 days to complete your review and send back your comments.

Will I get paid?

The NIHR, on behalf of the company they are working with, will reimburse you £125 for your time.
