The Cardiff and Vale Regional Unpaid Carers Board have been looking to develop a specific resource for unpaid carers around supporting wellbeing, this follows feedback from unpaid carers in the Unpaid Carers Assembly in November 2024. Since then, a team from the Board, including experts through lived experience, have been working to put together this information so that they can engage with unpaid carers for input into what is hoped to be an important resource for carers.

The resource being developed is meant to be an information pack which can either physically be given to an unpaid carer or can be available online. This will hopefully serve a number of purposes including; highlighting the contact details for specific carer information services, give information on rights and support available for unpaid carers, and give specific information to support wellbeing for unpaid carers.

A project group have developed a template for a pack which they would like input into – nothing is set in stone and they need your feedback to make this resource as useful to unpaid carers as possible.

How to get involved:

The team want to hear from unpaid carers by the 31 July to help develop this further.
