The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is developing guidance on Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies that help pathologists analyse breast biopsy samples to support breast cancer diagnosis.
The technologies aim to improve the speed, accuracy and consistency of diagnosis, while still requiring review by a pathologist.
NICE would like to hear from people with experience of breast cancer diagnosis about what matters most to patients, including waiting for results, confidence in diagnoses, and views on the use of AI in healthcare.
NICE will provide training and support to participate in an online committee meeting on 6 January 2027. Your time will be compensated for in line with the policy as a lived experience contributor.
