The Welsh Government has announced they are working on a new National Cancer Strategy for Wales to improve the experiences and outcomes of people living with cancer over the next ten years.
Macmillan Cancer Support, working with the Wales Cancer Alliance, want to ensure that the voices of people with lived experience of cancer are heard during the development of the plan.
You are invited to attend a Macmillan Cancer Support and Wales Cancer Alliance event, please see event details below:
Event 1:
Location: Venue Cymru, Llandudno
Date: Tuesday 06 October
Registration and lunch: From 12.45pm
Event: 2.00pm to 5.00pm
This event will be your opportunity to learn more about the strategy, how it’s being developed and share your experiences, ideas and ambitions for what cancer care and support should look like for Wales in the decade ahead. Macmillan and the Wales Cancer Alliance are pleased to confirm that Dr James Calvert, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Wales will be in attendance.
Registration and a networking lunch will be available from 12.45pm, with the plenary session beginning at 2pm, followed by breakout discussions throughout the afternoon.
