Researchers from Birkbeck University of London are inviting people who have been diagnosed and treated for cancer to participate in a study. The aim of their research is to understand people’s experiences of discussing their cancer diagnosis and treatment with their medical team.

They would particularly like to hear from people who live alone or find talking to doctors quite difficult, to find out whether they spoke to people outside of their medical team to get advice about their situation.

It will involve talking to a researcher for about 45-60 minutes. This could be done over the telephone, or via the internet.

You will be paid £27.50 for taking part, although you will need an email address in order to be able to receive payment.

The aim of their research is to understand factors that might help people make any decisions they needed to make about their cancer and their treatment.

If you would like to participate or ask questions, please contact Anne Miles at: ae.miles@bbk.ac.uk or Claudia Redeker at: claudia.redeker@bbk.ac.uk
